1. Studies and theories show that babies are like sponges because they can easily absorb what they discover around them. This makes the foundation you will set for your baby critical. Your verbal interaction with your baby is one way to make him absorb the things around him.
2. Even while in your womb, you should already be talking to your baby. Researches show that there is a connection between listening and speaking. As such, you can promote your baby's ability to speak by making him listen to what you say early on.
3. You can talk to your baby or make him hear music to expose him to sounds. He recognizes them even if he does not understand them. Your constantly talking to him can help him learn the connection between listening and talking.
4. Always say "I love you" to your baby. He will feel your warmth and love as he starts recognizing the sound and its meaning with your actions. Talking to your baby will not only make him learn the word or sound but also the basic structure of listening, i.e., listening and talking.
5. When talking sweet whispers and losing words to your child, you are creating a bond between you and your baby. You also make him feel your affection and care for him. It makes him feel confident and secure.
6. Provide your baby with simple toys that are not small enough to be swallowed but good enough to entertain your baby and provoke his senses.
